“For me, filmmaking and photography mirror surfing in that it’s the endless pursuit of something completely encompassing, whereby the activity bleeds into all other areas of life. Constantly adjusting and tweaking, driven to improve by an obsessive enjoyment that we call passion. It’s the way I think, how I explore what confuses me, and for a while, it’s how I’ve made both a living and a living worth making.”
